Moong Daal Paalak


  • 1 cup green split moong daal
  • 4 cup finely chopped spinach
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 green chillis
  • 4 tbsp desi ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 pinch asafotida
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


In a cooker add daal, paalan and 5 cup of water.

Cook till one whistle.

Make a paste with tomato and chilli.

Heat ghee in a pan and crackle cumin seeds.

Add ares of the spices. And mix well.

Add tomatoes paste and roast well.

Add daal paalak in it and boil for 10 minutes.

Serve hot with extra topping of ghee.
